PLEASE, MAKE SURE YOUR VEHICLE IS COMPATIBLE BEFORE ORDERING. Your Mercedes has to meet the following criteria: Radio has a CD player, not a cassette player Your vehicle is manufactured after 2002 model year and has MOST (Media Oriented Serial Transport) data network (see full compatibility of Mercedes-Benz models here) You have the MHI or UHI connector in your armrest (see the picture below) If all of the above criteria is met, your vehicle is compatible with ViseeO MB-2. If only the first two criteria are met, please see Tooki MB, it does not require a full Mercedes phone system installed in the car. Click here for compatibility. Advantages In comparison to the Bluetooth dongle made by Pieker and sold by Mercedes, MB-2 has a number of major advantages: The original Mercedes Bluetooth SAP MHI adapter works with very few phones, supporting AT protocol for synchronization. MB-2 does the same, but it also supports Bluetooth Object Push Profile (OPP), supported by the majority of Bluetooth phones on the market. Using OPP you can “push” your contacts into MB-2 even when the phone does not sync by itself*. Unlike Peiker product, MB-2 supports Privacy Mode, allowing instant switching between the hands free and the cellular phone and back. MB-2 is the only product allowing you to press the button on it and activate Voice Recognition software on your phone*. MB-2 has a volume control for factory microphones, known for their high sensibility. Adjust the volume and hear no more complaints about you screaming. MB-2 is upgradeable and will be working with future phones/cars. You can use your phone to dial out if you wish. It is made with better materials - high quality rubberized plastic gives it richer look and feel. It is less expensive. ViseeO emulates a real phone Mercedes wanted to be installed in the vehicle, so it integrates flawlessly and all OEM phone functions work perfectly: Works with original steering Wheel Controls Uses existing integrated microphones Mutes audio to make and answer calls and sends the call sound into the factory speakers Synchronizes contacts with the radio, including COMAND radios* Shows Caller ID and Phonebook information in the instrument cluster screen ViseeO also gives you advanced Bluetooth features: Use multiple phones. ViseeO MB-2 works with up to 3 different phones, supporting separate phone books (up to 1,200 numbers per phone). Automatically connects to your phone. Easily movable from car to car; makes it ideal for multi-car, multi-phone users. Maintains call logs. The Mercedes SAP 2.0 profile system keeps call lists in the car. If you miss a call in the car, it will not appear as a missed call on your phone when you leave the car. With ViseeO, calls missed in the car will still be visible on the phone and vice versa*. NO INSTALLATION REQUIRED! Just plug MB-2 into the MHI/UHI connector in your armrest, and that’s it! *Feature support depends on cellular phone, car and car radio functionality |

Q. My phonebook does not synchronize. Why and do I have any options? Q. The other side can not hear me well during the phone call. What to do? Q. What is difference between MBU-1000 and MB-2? Q. How is the MB-2 upgraded? Q. What functionality can be expected with the MB-2 system? Q. If my Mercedes Benz didn’t come with original car kits cradle can I still use MB-2? Q. My car has telephone buttons and is pre-wired for the phone, according to the manual. Can I use ViseeO? Q. My car does not have MHI installed and my dealer asks for $2,800 for one. Do I have any alternatives? Q. I want my car to have Bluetooth, but I’m not ready to spend this much on it. I’d like to have the maximum possible level of integration for the least possible amount of money. How can I achieve this? Q. My phonebook does not synchronize. Why and do I have any options? A. ViseeO supports phonebook synchronization when your phone supports it. Mercedes requires the use of AT Protocol, supported by many, but by far not all phones. If you phone does not support automatic phonebook synchronization, use OPP (Object Push Profile) to send contacts manually from your phone via Bluetooth. Most of the phones on the market support OPP. Please, refer to your phone manual to see how to send your contacts via Bluetooth. There is also a work around for phones that may not support either AT Protocol or OPP: Sync your contacts with Outlook or another Bluetooth enabled phone supporting OPP Pair your phone to MB-2 Disconnect your phone from ViseeO "Push" (send) contacts from your other phone into ViseeO via OPP. DO NOT PAIR THIS PHONE WITH VISEEO Reconnect your original phone to MB-2 ViseeO will think that this is the phone contacts where sent from and allow you to see the phone book and use it Q. The other side can not hear me well during the phone call. What to do? A. Identify the number of built-in phone speakers in your car. Using the volume control wheel on the right side of MBU, turn the volume down to decrease microphone volume if you have a single speaker setup or turn it up to increase microphone volume if you have multiple speakers. Q. What is the difference between MBU-1000 and MB-2? A. MBU-1000 is designed for Mercedes-Benz vehicles built between 1999 and 2005 on so called D2B network. MBU-1000 will work in vehicles equipped with original Mercedes phone system and cradles for Nokia phones: 6150, 6210, 6310/6310i. This setup was available only on European, Asian and Australian specifications vehicles. Vehicles for North and South Americas used Motorola phone systems and thus are not compatible with MBU-1000. MB-2 is designed to work in Mercedes vehicles with MOST network manufactured for 2005 model year or newer with factory MHI (in American markets) or UHI (European, Asian and Australian markets) telephone systems and connectors Q.How is the MB-2 upgraded? A. MB-2 comes with its own upgrade USB cable, so you can now upgrade ViseeO yourself via Internet. Q. What functionality can be expected with the MB-2 system? A. The car simply thinks it is an original phone. The functionality depends on your particular car radio (single DIN radio, COMAND, etc.) and your phone. Q. If my Mercedes Benz didn’t come with original phone system can I still use MB-2? A. No. MB-2 can only work with Mercedes-Benz original in car system. Q. My car has telephone buttons and is pre-wired for the phone, according to the manual. Can I use ViseeO? A. ViseeO only works with a full blown factory phone system. All Mercedes cars are pre-wired for the phone, but only the ones with actual phone system are using this pre-wiring. To see if it is you may look into your armrest and see if there is a MHI/UHI connector like on the picture below. If not, the car is not equipped with this option. In 2006 – 2008 North American market cars MHI usually came as a part of Premium Package II and Premium Package III. Q. My car does not have MHI installed and my dealer asks for $2,800 for one. Do I have any alternatives? A. Yes, depending on where you live. Click here to see the list of experienced Mercedes installers who we can recommend to work on your car. They can install MHI and setup ViseeO in it for a fraction of the dealer price. If you prefer to have similar functionality for less money, you can order Tooki MB Bluetooth kit here. Tooki MB integrates into the MOST network via the Fiber optic cables and provides functionality similar to ViseeO for non MHI/UHI equipped cars. It may be more expensive than ViseeO alone, but it is cheaper than ViseeO and MHI. Q. I want my car to have Bluetooth, but I’m not ready to spend this much on it. I’d like to have the maximum possible level of integration for the least possible amount of money. How can I achieve this? A. We can offer you an alternative. With Audicom Steering Wheel Controls adapter* modules ($139.99) and an appropriate wire harness integrating into your car’s audio system (Mute and use of 2 front speakers for phone audio, $39.99 - $169.99) you can add the following hands free car kits to your car: EgoTalk (SW600C replaces the original car kit keypad, keeping OEM look) with A2DP Parrot CK3000 Evolution (SW101C replaces the original car kit keypad, keeping OEM look) with Voice Recognition Parrot CK3100 with LCD display Parrot MK6000 (SW101C replaces the original car kit keypad, keeping OEM look) with Voice Recognition and A2DP Visteon with LCD display These Bluetooth car kits range in price between $90 and $200, so with all the hardware your cost before installation should not be more than $500 and as low as $260. Please, go to www.carkitharness.com for details. *Maybe not compatible with your particular vehicle. Requires CANBUS network. |
